Two research positions at Archimedes Unit, in Athens, Greece
Archimedes Unit, in Athens, Greece will soon announce two research positions. The hired applicants will be co-supervised by Odysseas Papapetrou and Minos Garofalakis, and will join a team of (currently) 2 PhD students working towards developing the next-generation data stream management system. The roles are flexible and open to PhD students or postdoctoral researchers, with a background in data stream management and Big Data management. A strong foundation in probabilities and strong programming skills are required for both positions. Knowledge of Greek is beneficial for living in Athens but is not required.PhD opportunities
The PhD student hires will have the opportunity to remotely pursue their doctoral degree at either Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) or the Technical University of Crete, while being co-supervised by Odysseas Papapetrou and Minos Garofalakis.Qualifications
- For PhD students: a MSc degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
- For Postdocs: A PhD degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
- Strong foundation in probabilities
- Strong programming skills
- Motivation to work in a collaborative research environment
